TW: mentions of blood, truama induced stuff, and general scary stuff
Terrance didn’t cry much…especially not in front of others.
It was early morning, Terrance had practically begged to go with Viper. Viper told him it was dangerous. Terrance didn’t care, he only wanted to be helpful.
“Stay close, kid”
Terrance nodded at Viper’s words.
It was cold, and humid, and dim. A floating island of sketchy markets and bars.
“I used to work at a bar…”
Viper looked down at Terrance for a moment, surely he’d just said the wrong thing…he was still learning common after all.
“I could barely speak common back then…” he said with a bit of a laugh. “I could only really say a few things…” his smile faded. “I got called Prost a lot…”
Viper frowned under his helmet, “I see…”
Terrance didn’t speak more on the matter, following close behind the man.
“What exactly are we here for..?” Terrance asked.
“A man, requested dead. A bartender.”
“Always a man isn’t it…” Terrance glanced at the short buildings.
They made it to the supposed location of the man. A small pub. A place for tired fathers and abusive husbands.
It made Terrance uneasy entering the building. The mandolorian sat at the bar counter, not ordering anything, but eyeing the bartender’s.
“Is he not here..?” Terrance whispered.
Viper stayed silent for a few moments before getting up.
“I suppose he isn’t.”
They exited, still in the general area.
That’s when Terrance saw him.
The light blue hair, the horns too small to poke out…the face he’d nearly forgotten…
“Cass…”
Viper didn’t have time to react as Terrance ran to the other boy.
“You’re alive!” He engulfed the blue haired boy into a hug, their tails lightly intertwined.
“Terrance?! N-no- you’re dead! You were supposed to-….” Cass said shakily.
“Cass! Cass! It’s okay!” He buried his face in the crook of his friend’s neck.
Cass finally hugged back, eying the mandolorian he knew was after him.
“Terrance…are you aware of what you are with..?” He whispered into the shorter one’s ear.
“Viper? Yeah, he killed my old boss then I think kidnapped me.” Terrance whispered back
Cass nodded as if Terrance had just said something profound.
“Cass…you’re shaking…”
Cass would never admit it, but he was terrified.
Terrance grazed his cheek gently, getting one last look at him.
That’s when Cass’s skin melted off, revealing a snake instead.
Terrance tried to run, but gravity turned sideways.
Now floating in space, Terrance was met with his mother, but taller than what was natural.
“Do not let them see…do not let him see…do not succumb to the wishes of the man who has killed so many.”
A spike ran through his heart.
He felt his skin peel off, and horns grow from his forehead.
Large, god like hands pointed at him from all directions.
“Your fault.” They spoke in unison “Murderer”
‘It wasn’t my fault!’ He tried to scream, but it came out as pained whines instead.
His fingernails dug into his arms as he cradled himself.
The atmosphere changed once again, now on his home planet, in the midst of it all.
The explosion replaying time and time again, sending Terrance flying each time. He only survived because of his mutation…Terrance knew that, but that’s didn’t make the pain go away.
It all started happening at once. The stab to his neck, the venom flooding his system, the explosion sending him flying through space at lightning speed, the glass being repeatedly stabbed into him, his fingernails digging into his arms…the shaking…
Wait…
Shaking..?
He woke up, fingernails bloody, upper arms bleeding drastically.
Terrance wasn’t fully lucid when he pushed away from viper, hitting his gloved hand away.
“Kid.” He tried to get his attention. “Kid….Terrance!”
The boy looked up.
“you were screaming…”
Terrance’s eyes watered,
“I’m sorry…I-i didn’t mean it…I- I really thought I got over it….i just- please don’t…dont-….”
Terrance trailed off, but Viper knew damn well what he was going to say, and it broke his heart to think about.
“I won’t…it’s okay…I’m going to grab the first aid kit…”
Terrance nodded ever so slightly, staring blankly at a wall.
‘Holy fucking shit…I’m dead…I couldn’t stop it now I’m gonna be murdered in cold blood…’ he thought, gripping his arms again, nails digging in deeper this time.
Viper returned with the first aid kit. “..don’t do that…” he had to pry Terrance’s hands away from himself, trying to be as gentle as possible.
Terrance couldn’t stop trembling as Viper cleaned and dressed his wounds.
“It’s alright, Kid…”
Terrance didn’t look up, his tail curling in discomfort.
“I’m sorry…”
“Don’t be sorry, kid…it’s not your fault..”
His mind flashed back to the image of his skin peeling off and the repeated phrase of “it’s your fault.”
Tears streamed down Terrance’s face like waterfalls.
The Mandolorian put his hand gently on Terrance, shoulder, he told him it was okay and that he would stay with him if he needed.
and so they sat there for about an hour before Terrance fell back to sleep, Viper following suit.
Oh yeah I made this mandalorian helmet with one of my OC's colors out of pretty much entirely recycled materials. Cost me like 10 bucks total for the tape, the hot glue, and the plastic file folder I used as visor tint at dollar tree. The plastic, cardboard, and foam I used for the actual helmet bits was free from my old job.
It is now pretty much falling apart in my basement but I'm pretty damn proud of it!
Their full armor design, if anyone cares (but add wings to the side of the helmet instead of the sensor things)
