Lil something for @mandoway
plodding around the ship, the child searches for a toy to satiate his boredom. there are so many bright and shiny objects, and yet mando gets fussy when he wishes to play with them! quiet as can be, he slips towards the front of the ship, stretching up on his tiptoes to hit a button, glowing bright red, well out of his reach. / @mandoway

“Please!”
Kell Linah was not precisely sure how many times she had embarrassed herself by excessing that word beyond proper etiquette, chanting it beneath her breath in a desperate mantra every step they walked closer to the armor-clad man’s ship.
Even her own lips had tired of shaping the word, her mind having ceased recognizing it as anything other than a noise bursting with the gravity of her need to get away from here. To leave this life once and for all, and make a name for herself.
A name she had dreamt of quietly in only her own mind, a secret prayer Kell assumed would never be answered.
But now it could be. And she refused to let that just pass.
She was positive he found her to be the most obnoxious woman this side of the galaxy. Hell, she found herself incredibly annoying and downright unlikable at this moment. But this was her chance, her one and only chance to become what her heart yearned for with every drop of blood in her veins. Giving that up and returning to the everyday she’d know all her existence, gazing up to the stars knowing she did not fight for the reality she wanted... that wasn’t even an option.
Let him think what he would, but as far as Kell was concerned, this was a matter of life or death.
Her shoes squelched the mud flat as she trailed the Mandalorian with sudden increased fervor, straightening her spine to force an air of diplomacy. “I can help you with the child. You still wish to continue your life as you know it, right? Bounty hunting, killing, death and danger and despair? All of that? Well, surely you will need someone trustworthy to watch the baby during those... excursions. A character description I can only imagine is far beyond rare in such a line of work!”
Heart of Beskar

Even on planets that seemed out of the way, Ellia Bahr never felt safe. Upon betraying her former employers, even if it was for the right reason in the end, she had been on the run ever since. The planet and the people she worked for were not well known in the system, but even the stray poster sent panic down her spine. Ellia thought this as she crumpled up one and put it in her bag.
For the most part, she did her best to hide. Her hair had been dyed multiple hues over the years, and her bare arms now had markings and tattoos to try to throw off anyone looking for her. She figured that her road would end soon enough. Ellis’s hand brushed over the Beskar armor and dagger she had carried since that day-proof of her employers’ misdeeds. Maybe if a Mandalorian found her, this would be convincing enough to turn the tables.
“ wait here. i’ll go see what the noise was. ”

Dany had been half out of bed when Din spoke. He was already standing, had his pants and helm on. His chest plate was unbuckled but on, and his rifle was hefted on one arm. She summoned her light saber and pulled on his shirt which came down to her thighs, listening closely as he opened the door. A sound came - from the doorway to the bunker. Dany nodded in the direction - and Din was gone like a ghost. With a breathless curse, Dany ignited the double blade and slipped out into the hallway, but she didn't go far. The room across was where the baby slept and she slipped inside to take a protective stance.
Who found them? Thieves attracted by the easy target of a remote hut? Or the ones seeking the child? Daenerys had been shielding the child’s presence in the Force, but it was impossible to entirely conceal it. Her answer came as she sensed another, a dark glimpse, only seconds before the Sith ripped the window and half the wall out. Daenerys didn’t give him a heartbeat of respite, flinging a hand out at the assassin and the creature scrabbled at his throat while her fingers closed slowly. He tried to reach out. Dany felt the Force rippling, but the gloved hand fell limp in the same instance that Din burst into the room. She let the body fall to turn to him. “We can’t stay here. They’ll have sent more.”
“what are we going to do now?”

Her Fury was on the other side of the hanger bay. Between it and the two of them was an entire squadron of storm troopers. At least Dany could sense that the child was fine on the ship - the Imperials hadn't gotten past her security locks yet, but it was only a matter of time. It had been considered an acceptable risk to set down in Mos Eisley, a risk that was coming back to bite them. Another blaster bolt flew over her head. These cargo crates were not going to last as cover much longer and that's when her companion spoke. Dany glanced over, her gaze narrowing as she considered his armor. If she drew their fire, he could make it to the ship - could escape with the child.
"I'm going to cause a diversion. You're going to make a break for the ship. Take it and get clear of here," Daenerys instructed firmly. At best, she was looking at being captured. At worst... it didn't matter. She didn't waver, drawing her focus on the Force, as she rose from behind the crate, her lightsaber flashing as it deflected shots while Dany ran for the interior where more of them awaited. She took a glancing hit to her shoulder just before ducking behind a bulkhead. A drop of sweat slipped down her temple. From here, she could see that there was an imperial fighter in a small docking alcove. Stepping out again, her lightsaber was a blur as it deflected shots, but Dany was tiring even as the squadron started closing the distance.
“Just ignore him, he’ll work it out.“
The metallic echo that the helmet added to his voice gave the young woman a chill, but from where did her worry come from was unknown to her. The mandalorian was not a threat to her, at least from what she could gather.
“Are you certain? He doesn’t look like he is in a bad way, but there is nothing wrong with giving a helping hand, sir.”
“are you hurt?”

“Just grazed,” Daenerys answered, wincing as she flexed her arm, never losing her grip on her lightsaber. Around them lay a circle of dead stormtroopers, but the ones who had been boarding his ship were now approaching, their weapons raised. There would be no taking these by surprise as they had the lookout squad. She had tracked the source of the Force emanations across two galaxies to this ship, coming to the Mandalorian’s aid only seconds before the first battle and Dany wasn’t about to leave now. The odds were not in their favor, but she was stronger than she’d shown herself to be.
“I hope you have a full charge on that thing,” she muttered, her fingers stretching despite the pain in her arm and six bodies rose in the air, a semi-shield that held for a moment before flinging at the soldiers, her saber deflecting shots as they advanced together. Once the bodies were launched, her fingers curled inward to her palm and two soldiers rose in the air clawing at their necks. The Mandalorian cut down more, his shots precise and lethal. A soldier in the back lifted a launcher to his shoulder and Dany did not hold back, ripping rocks and dirt up from the ground to form a solid barrier that took the hit before rocketing toward the remaining troops.
The ‘battle’ was over in mere seconds and Dany glanced to her unusual companion, looking for any injuries, but she did not sheath her saber. The ship was his, clearly, and the Force projection was still her focus. “I hope you have a med kit in that ship. We can’t stay here. They might have gotten off a signal. A ship will be coming.”
