Ms. Whimsical Aurora, Her Dam, Whispering Oak or Whimsy

An opinionated and fearless mare with an unceasing drive for justice and love of learning.

Inspired by the expansive shadow cast by her mother, Whispering Oak, from a young age, Whimsical Aurora was an adventurous filly. She grew up curious and worryingly bold about it. Her mother told her stories of grand journeys and countless fairytales, as did her mother's good friend from the Pegasus Kingdom, Prince Firefly. These stories fueled Whimsy's incessant curiosity, leaving her mom, Pretentious Petals, to try and distance her daughter from all things grandiose by forbidding Firefly from future visits.

His absence didn't shake Whimsy's wild imagination, though. It was vivid and tended to drag anyone nearby into it, Whimsy's good friend and eventual boyfriend, Atlas, especially. The two made up a world, complicated and detailed to every degree, to play make believe in during every spare hour they shared. Whimsy's little sister, Autumnal Eventide, also got dragged into it once she was old enough. Taking on the title Princess Shimmer to match Whimsy's title of Queen. Whimsy and Atlas took everything they learned from school and free study into their world, making it something of a historical fantasy setting with time.

Whimsy couldn't stand a life in one place, though. As fun as their little games were, the more she learned about the world the more she wanted to see it all. Every discrepancy and inconsistency in unicorn texts sent her into a spiral and as soon as she hit adulthood she was making plans to see all of Equestria. Before she left, she threw Autumn a coronation party, leaving their kingdom under her protection.

Okay, how do I explain this? A dakimakura is a large pillow that I about as a long as a person, or pony, is tall. Dakimakura means to embrace or to cling, so it's often called a love or hug pillow. Most famously it'll come with a pillow case that has a graphic depiction of an anime character (you have those right, since Neighpon can be considered a fantasy counterpart culture to our worlds Japan) so that owners can sort of "cuddle" with them. It also has a more... suggestive use.

Twilight Sparkle: *blushes brightly* I’m… sure that… there are… ah… niche specialty shops… that offer such things.  Hopefully not of us, because that would be creepy…

Rarity: Clearly.

Applejack: Eeyup.

Fluttershy: *squeaks incoherently*

Rainbow Dash: Yeah, that’s kinda weird.

Pinkie Pie: I dunno, I kinda like the idea of having a cuddly version of me out there.

Other 5: *stares at Pinkie*

Zecora: I am not opposed to the idea, you see, but right now there’s only one I want cuddling me.  *grins and blushes, thinking about Spy*

Trixie: The Great and Powerful Trixie doesn’t mind such merchandise out there.  It is only natural that stallions and some mares would have such desires for Trixie and her ultra-hot flanks. :3

Derpy: Um… I’m kinda with the others on this one… It sounds kinda creepy.
