Not to relate this back to that Rose/Pearl post you made but yeah.. Rose reminds me so much of my mom/abuser and I was just thinking about this concept the other day..

I’m not really active in the fandom, so I luckily haven’t seen a bunch of people who justify & support Rose (tho I believe it). She definitely set off huge red flags from the start for me, and the more I’ve watched has only made that more clear (the number of characters who have experienced literal trauma due to her actions, her intensely controlling influence on everyone, and the family taboo of ever suggesting she might be at fault, the public/spoken narrative of her relationships carefully excluding any harm and instead hiding everything behind secrecy and silence, etc.). And then there’s the element where even the creator of the show called Rose a terrible person. 

I definitely feel like it fits that same element where an abusive character is written well/accurately enough that abuse culture does its magic to shield her from any accountability.

For the bisexually-deterred anon, because honestly I felt like the mod and the asker were on two slightly different pages. If it feels like you're deterred by the thought of being left for a man specifically, that's a red flag for internalized misogyny and honestly, not proud, I've been there. To quell those feelings that a bi woman will think a relationship with a man is going to be the default/better and leave you, you need to look inward and practice self valuing/loving techniques. (Part 1)

(Part 2) bc, honestly it probably has to do with the fact that they have the potential to be attracted to men and that those attractions are percieved as more meaningful/better. The reason they are seen as more meaningful is because of misogyny. You see yourself as inferior even in potential (yay toxic narritives). So solving that starts with INTENSE self love. The more you love and value yourself, the more you value your place in relationships and don't put yourself on a gender hierarchy.(Part 3) if you get rid of the hierarchy, then all bi becomes is an identity of attraction and not value of yourself in comparison to others based on said attraction. Self love= little to no jealousy, no inferiority, no gender comparison. bc if she likes you, she likes YOU for YOU. Just bc I feel like your ask had actually very little to do with bi stereotypes of cheating/promiscuity and much more to do with the toxic narrative of women meaning less than men (in all areas).

I'm so so sorry to bother you, especially if this question has been asked before (I tried to scour the q&a), but how did you become a professional artist? How did you become popular enough to make it profitable? (Obvs talent, but the other stuff).

This is kind of an exhausting question because it can imply that you can’t become a professional artist if you are not “popular enough.” (spoilers: you can.) Anyone can become a professional if they apply themselves enough, and there are various avenues through which you can succeed. Long story short, I’ve been posting my art online for nearly a decade and a half and staying engaged with my audience and fellow artists for equally as long. I don’t have specific “success tips” other than post regularly? And honestly, I don’t see myself as a success, or at least not yet. It’s always going to be a grind, so prepare for that. I wish you luck on your endeavours. ^^
