i do have to give kudos to the writers of succession for managing to get me to feel empathy for logan roy, i genuinely think that shot revealing the scars on his back and the story about his little sister were the only times i've ever felt a pang of emotion for an abusive father on television. normally when fictional men get their asses beat i just think it's sort of funny. i felt such a weird understanding for logan though like i do feel sick for his children when he is tormenting them mentally but when he said You are not serious fucking people i literally couldn't disagree with him. because they were not serious fucking people
