What I Wore: Spring Ready
Growing up in Maine, there were only two stores to shop at for plus size clothing, and Macy’s was one of them. I’ve since discovered many other options, but still find myself back at Macy’s monthly. Whether it’s for makeup, accessories or their EVER expanding plus department, I always find something I just can’t possibly leave without. Upon my latest visit to the store, as well as cruising on their site after, I turned up a wealth of amazing contemporary lines in plus that I didn’t even know they carried, such as: RACHEL Rachel Roy Curvy, Lucky Brand Plus and Nanette by Nanette Lapore Plus!
That said, I was pumped when Macy’s wanted to team up so I could show you a couple of my favorite spring pieces from their fashion forward collections. So, without further ado, on to the fashion:
This crisp white RACHEL Rachel Roy Curvy Sleeveless Shift Dress is perfect for the transition to spring. It has a nice weight to it and amazing pockets, what more could I ask for?
Tall Tip: If you’re a tall lady like me (6’3”) pair this with leather-look leggings and some boots for a chic badass look.

Next up? This INC International Concepts Plus High-Low Dress:
Now, I’m not usually a pink girl, but what is it about this gorgeous shade?! I’m in love. It’s such a bright but rich jewel tone! It’s a light and breezy material that can be dressed up or down: the epitome of the perfect summer dress.
I’m a total sucker for a high-low hem, since I love showing off some leg! This type of hemline also adds to the great movement of this dress. Hands down, the movement and color of this dress is what drew me to it!

One of my favorite things about Macy’s is that you’re able to go into a store and try things on. As a plus girl, I love all the awesome ecommerce brands that have emerged, but for me, trying an item on before buying can really seal the deal. If you’re in NYC, don’t miss the Macy’s on 34th Street, it’s my personal favorite!
