This is your reminder that it is perfectly acceptable to use props in yoga whenever you need to. Even if the instructor doesn’t mention them. Today’s workout was “Strength & Mobility to Fix Posture” an intermediate skill level workout from @ManFlowYoga. And I used blocks unprompted for two poses: pyramid and Cossack squats. Do I always use blocks for those? No, but today I needed to. In my (not a PT, not a yoga instructor, just a guy) opinion, a good indicator of whether you are ready to try more advanced workouts is the ability to know if and when a prop should be used for your own body, and the knowledge that it is not a failure, but a strength. Mechanics are important, not aesthetics. The human body is a beautiful and horrifying machine and your capabilities will change day to day, even hour to hour. Yo do you babe 😉 #yoga #blocks #ManFlowYoga https://www.instagram.com/p/CnPdP6qO9Y8/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
