if u really think about it, being in your 20s is like. you've only been on this earth for 20 something years how can you be expected to know everything when the world is so complicated like im only 18 and im expected to know everything but simultaneously im constantly told that i know nothing and yeah i dont know why i felt the urge to say all this but yeah

i know what you mean! esp with desi parents they're constantly convinced that they know better so ofc we're not allowed to do anything by ourselves or make mistakes learning but instead suddenly after An Age we're supposed to instantly become perfectly functional human beings after years of being criticized.... and add to THAT the general nightmare about being alive? and having to figure out what to do with your One life and making decisions from 18-25 that will drastically impact your career/the rest of your life? it's absolutely insane! i am not prepared in general but also everything i've gone through has just made me even more ill prepared than the baseline level of unprepared
