i will defend callie spengler until i die !!!!! she is a single mother trying to raise 2 kids on her own in afterlife, gets evicted and moved to the middle of bumfuck nowhere (shout out summerville) to inherit her absent fathers place (which is probably not the most ideal place to take care of 2 kids) !!!! obviously she's gonna be on edge. im genuinely sure being in that house resurfaced a lot of trauma </3
i feel like her reactions from her kids 1) wrecking half of main street in afterlife and 2) specifically when phoebe is grounded by callie etc in frozen empire, is still justified 😭 i think she is speaking from a place of love and concern because she doesn't want to see her daughter risk her life and get hurt :''''')
idk. this is coming from misplaced frustration because i saw a tiktok criticising callie and i know she is an unpopular character. do i think it is fair she lashes out on her kids? no !!! but i also think that the situations were just specifically rough in afterlife and improve in frozen empire and will continue to improve!!!!!!! she loves her children !!!!!! she wants to see them flourish and grow!!!!!!
