Hey! I was wondering if you have a tutorial when making screencaps? Like do you resize it before you do the coloring or after? I love your Merlin Caps and I'm trying to make some of my own!

hi! no, i don’t really have a tutorial, i just usually wing everything when i’m making edits out of caps jghdfjdd. and it’s different for every edit depending on how big your canvas is and what kind of edit you’re making, so the sizes vary. idk if you’re asking about size and capping in general or just coloring?

but there’s a pretty easy tutorial on how to screencap from dvds here. i sort of half-assed explained on how to fix aspect/ratio with dvd capping here. and you can look at how to screencap with kmplayer in general here. welovetemplates is a great place to look up sizes for your graphics if you are making a photoset. the default width size for tumblr is always 500px.

and it depends again how i’m editing things, but i usually crop/resize it before i color it! unless i’m making something complicated out of a cap. like this one:
