It was four or five times of this ridiculous game that his alternate probably wasn't keen on playing - but here they were, locked in a battle of which Radio Demon could outlast each other's stubborness. Getting Alastor to actually lay down for a nap was almost impossible in itself.

Almost.

And the other was winning, 1-0, as he knew damn well this particular Radio Demon was too tired to keep up his charade for too much longer.

So Alastor did what he did best -

No pause in her rhythm, swept aside by an unseen sea of black, til arm twisted taut behind her back, til face flush - full flat to the marble wall her cheek collides with, her breath puffs against in scintillating surprise. It wasn’t often that he willingly relegated himself to the Avengers care facilities, but sometimes after especially trying missions he let himself be herded. If he were being honest with himself, the points when he actually acquiesced were when he was too tired to even get himself home to the Sanctum anyway. And the five star service of the Avengers compound, the quietude, was sometimes a welcome break from the old, wandering house, much as he loved it dearly. That day, it had been a much harder fight than even their usual, and he was sporting a healing but heavily sore leg. He’d gotten gouged practically from ankle to hip, and had been nursing his aches in the common room next to the modern gas fireplace. The string of flame didn’t seem as homey as the ones that roared in the brick hearths at the Sanctum, but it warmed just the same.

So when Carol had come in, long after the others had retired to bed, he was a bit startled when she made a beeline for him and unceremoniously hauled him up into her arms. “Hey, woah,” he bleated, though he knew better than to struggle lest she choose to drop him on his ass. “What’s all this about? If you just wanted me to go to bed, you could say so. I can get there myself.” ...Slowly. “And if you wanted to get in bed together... well, you could have at least brought me a drink first.”

There was work that needed to be done. His mind wasswimming, spinning, the room spinning along with it. But with a bit more tea,and maybe some food, he’d be good to go! At least, that was his method ofthinking as he sat up. But when a gentle hand pressed insistently upon hischest, it made the Doctor-, no, he couldn’t call himself that anymore. Fugitive-much better- frown.

“Mayla, dorogoy,you know I have to go. Mazlinka needs herbs, and I can’t risk you being found here with me.”

Julian all but pleaded, whiskey hues full of remorseas he tried- and failed- to push up against her hand. Since when had she gottenso strong? Frown slipping into a pout, he all but collapsed down upon the bed,a brow raising as an idea filled his mind. Mischief danced across his face aspale, nimble fingers encircled her wrist.

“Unless you plan on joining me in this bed? I believe that is the only way I will remain within, lyubovnik.”

Velvette's looking smug as fuck after doing this like it was much-needed revenge. Consequences be damned.

It was just warm enough to go on an outing, and Alastor needed to get away from the hotel a bit to breathe. So off he went, finding a nice spot on a bench near the shade of a park.

With a snap of his fingers, a book now in hand, he decided to catch up on his reading, a nice thriller.

It was only moments of settling in, when the next thing he knew, something absolutely clocked the back of his head, rocking him so hard that both book and monocle went flying.

Who did this angel think she was dealing with?

To her defense, when she swatted his claw away, Alastor was being invasive, trying to pull out a feather because he was curious if it was any different from other angel's wings. He thought maybe he could use it for a spell.

It took everything in his power not to immediately lash out with a tendril, however in the wrong he was. She didn't know him enough to touch him, so it caught him off guard a bit. Just because she was visiting the hotel, didn't mean she could hit him like that, let alone touch him.

So he smoldered, trying to regain a more level head. He figeted with his bow, and lapels, before finally settling down.

"Be careful who you're dealing with, dear."
