On Toledo: Sarah
How I know her: Sarah has been my sister’s best friend since they were in junior high/high school. And, in true younger sister fashion, I made sure to weasel my way right into being her friend, too. She has an incredibly sweet, snarky, passionate spirit. She fights harder for my rights than I do. She’s incredibly bright and well-spoken...and someone who is easy to engage in thought provoking conversation with. She’s also someone who goes to Manhattan’s for their Sunday brunch with 3 young children--in case that speaks to you.

Q: Where is your favorite place to eat in Toledo? A: Manhattan’s. The food is always good, the servers are always fun, and it is where my husband and I spent a lot of time while dating. He even proposed there! Live music too!
Q: What is your favorite thing to do in Toledo? A: Adams street! I love visiting Handmade Toledo, walking up and down the street stopping in the thrift and antique stores. They also have some of the best food on that street. I like food, can you tell?
Q: If someone was visiting Toledo for the first time, what is one thing they absolutely have to experience? A: I love taking people to the downtown library and art museum. They are unique and show the diversity and culture of Toledo.
Q: What does Toledo mean to you? A: Toledo means community. I’ve lived all over and I am always drawn back to Toledo. Family, friends, and love and support that you won’t find anywhere else.
Q: Anything else you wanna share? A: I’m like totally obsessed with this city, ok? I think we are on the verge of being the most inclusive and welcoming city. I am excited to see where we end up in the next 10 years.
