This batch fizzes pretty well. Despite partially activating while curing! Next batch, if I can wait that long, will have an emulsifier to help the oils blend into the water instead of floating on top, and won’t have any water in the ingredients when mixing it up. They say to use as much emulsifier as oil. That seems like a lot of liquids. We’ll see how that goes! I haven’t ordered the emulsifier yet. I may have to wait to see what happens! Making real bath bombs! 😊 No dies. But yes to scents. This batch is lavender flowers. Out of the bottle, it’s very soapy smelling. But mixed in, it’s not so bad. And that’s saying something from me because I’m not a fan of lavender! But my bf is. Maybe the kitchen will still smell like it when he comes home at the end of the week! I really should have worn gloves! My hands stink! I made bath and mani bombs this time. I hope they stay together. I tried to pack as much as I could into the balls. My theory is that the tighter they are packed, the denser and more solid they will dry (though it will take longer). I have little shrink wrap baggies to put them in to help with that. I just hope they fizzle like they are supposed to when packed so densely. We’ll see! And they were harder to get out of the balls than the more loosely packed ones I tried. These have equal parts Jojoba, avocado, apricot, and grapeseed oils. Now my hands smell of lemon! Gonna try molding the batch since the first batch became a bust. I need to find finer Epsom salts. We got the super cheap store brand and it’s practically rock salt! 😝 But that’s ok. 😊 Half batch made 5 bath and 5 mani bombs. Though the bath ones might be a little in the small side.
