Pardon me, Lawson coming through

At work on my novel. Completely neglecting life today. Probably should go to a coffee shop where I can look like I’m actually a part of something productive. In reality, barely able to put head on the table.

Must take the attitude of Kool-Aid Man. Not the Jonestown one. The other one. The red one. The guy who destroys all the walls. That’s the Kool-Aid Man I want to be.

Also, I’m fairly sure I signed up to at least 6 different subscriptions at AWP and only one has made its way to me. Why did I not write these things down? (This is why you always leave a note.) Normally I’m a beggar for receipts, so I have no idea why I declined the option this time around. Ugh, I’ll have to look at my bank account online like an old person. (Really? Really, this is the standard of inconvenience of our golden age.)

I keep saying this is a casual blog, so let’s make it Casual Tuesdays instead of Fridays, because homogenous cultures dictate enough standards that we take as unsaid laws, when we don’t even obey the laws spoken aloud.

I see the books stack up against me, closing me in. All I can say is that it’s warm with the wind blocked out and the kindling so close to my heart.

“Nothing is a waste of time if you use the experience wisely. “

I choose to believe in this quote to end my teaching day. I enjoyed the teaching demonstration of the first group of pre-service teachers who have been assigned to have their team teaching demo in my class today. They are somehow unprepared but individually they have their own way of surpassing my standards. It was rough seeing them boggled up with what is going to happen next in their lesson, they seem to be carried away with the pressure that they have in their heart. The tension gives them chills to the extend of forgetting tasks that should be done. Considering their way of teaching as a first timer is impressive.

What I wanted to stress in the activity that they had for today was that, they should value the existence of another chance and use it to compromise and be able to handle the whole class with discipline. The quote says “Nothing is a waste of time if you use the experience wisely.” May they consider my negative comments as their stepping stone in their way of becoming a good teacher in the field. May they use the given chance to have another experience in life.
