#manifestomonday #8 “If you really love that person’s outfit, you should go ahead and tell them.” You’ve either experienced it, or been guilty of it. Someone passing you on the street, looks you up and down from the crown to the ground, and stays stiff-faced (and some even smirk) as they pass you by. And if we’re insecure, we can receive that as an passive aggressive insult. Many times, they really love something about your look, but they’re so worried about how you’re going to interpret the compliment, they choose to reserve it rather than share it. Isn’t that a shame? As you attempt to guard your own admiration of another (which is wonderful and healthy) you should ask yourself, ‘what is troubling about me, that keeps me from complimenting them?” Usually, if you’re not feeling good about yourself, it translates to how you see others. You’re viewing people through an unhealthy lens and criticism (or withholding a compliment) is the only way for you to feel superior. Put an end to this stifling behavior. Free yourself from these social shackles and the next time you see someone wearing something or doing something well, give them a big fat compliment! Then watch their face brighten up and feel your own spirit brighten up at the same time. Many times they’ll even shoot a compliment right back at’cha! Now how’s that for not holding back?🙌🏾. #setyourselffree #saysomethingnice https://www.instagram.com/p/Bs6zlcrFjKh/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=14nt7ngrwfr2d
