With a location so rich in history and beauty, what’s not to love!
Desert Romance in the Heart of Summer
The natural beauty of the desert Southwest and the impressive rock formations of Texas Canyon, Arizona served as the perfect inspiration for this bridal shoot. Breathtaking scenery during the heart of summer, a historic location, and a wow-worthy color palette combined effortlessly to create a spectacular shoot that shows the romance of southern Arizona and the rarely advertised amenities it has to offer.
With the historic Amerind Museum as the location in mind, shades of dusty rose, blush and slate melded beautifully with the building’s spectacular architecture and original furnishings from the 1930s. Many of the pictures were taken in the Fulton House mansion that features a full courtyard with an outdoor fireplace and fountain, a great room for entertaining, and guest suites.
Accents such as succulents and Native blankets were used as inspiration for both the dessert displays and floral arrangements. The cakes, designed by Arizona Doe Baking Co., featured metallic hues of blush gold and horizon blue and were adorned with handmade sugar flowers and succulents. The floral arrangements were designed by Benson Blossom Shop and featured flowers such as lush peonies, succulents, blushing brides, pieris, and dusty miller greens; all of which accented the spectacular backdrop perfectly to create a look of timeless beauty.
Adding to the scene was the beautiful model Lisa Chavez, who wore a Theia gown with a sweetheart neckline and full tulle skirt. Embodying the whimsical nature of the Southwest, the dress was formal and yet effortless when combined with a jeweled hair comb and red lips.
This location was a photographer’s dream and Robyn Kellogg of Hayseed Charm Photography certainly captured the moments of beauty in every scene. From the architecture and flowers, to the tablescapes and everything in between, no detail was overlooked.
