Why I like them

Yes.  Next question!

Okay no seriously, though, Demo’s super dreamy and likeable.  He’s clever, energetic, funny and capable.  He’s also got a hell of a work ethic, as well as a soft spot for his mum.  He’s got issues, like with his drinking and his childhood traumas, but he doesn’t let it interfere with his ability to take care of himself and his family.  He’s polite, friendly, and has a really great smile.

Why I don’t

Fuck, I guess if I’d have to say anything I guess his heavy drinking and self-esteem issues, but that’s not something that makes me not like him, but things I don’t like about him and want to see him deal with and be able to resolve and slay his demons, yanno?  I’m rootin’ for the precious bab.

Oh, wait no, I thought of one thing: The sound of his Medic call when he just yells “MEEEDDDIIIIIIIIC!” loudly.  Mostly because I’m so sick of Demos who expect to be pocketed and then charge when you do try and heal them.  I love his voice, but I’ve heard that line so much it makes me grind my teeth.

Oh man, while I have a soft spot for his werewolf costume (heh big surprise), I gotta say Prince Tavish’s Crown, the King of Scotland Cape and the Cool Breeze is probably my favourite outfit one can assemble for him.

Also Demo/Solly?  If they’re not lovers than they’re brothers, yanno?  But other than Soldier?  I can see Demo and Scout getting into lots of trouble and having tons of fun together.

Headcanon

Demo usually doesn’t drink to get drunk unless he’s at work.  In fact, unless he’s in a low mood (I don’t think he’s depressed, but he clearly has mood swings relating to his unresolved emotional and self-esteem issues) he tends not to drink at all at home.  He does drink with friends, though, but usually just casually.  He doesn’t get drunk with friends unless said friends are ALSO getting drunk.  Otherwise, he’s content to nurse beers and bullshit all night.

He also really loves tea, and is mildly infuriated that it’s hard to get anything but orange pekoe in the ‘States.

A wish

To find out what the status of RED team and BLU team are in canon and continuity and who is even who anymore, and if there is still a difference, for Tavish and Jane to make up and be friends again.  They were good for one another, and super cute best buddies.  Tavish needs someone who makes him feel valuable like that, and Jane needs a stabilizing influence.  *sobs deeply*
