'I no longer play TF2 due to having run into some really bad people who just tore me up. But one time after a year or so of not playing I joined a game and my whole team was so nice we all played for hours and hours and they all keep saying how good a job I was doing or just being silly or protecting me as I played engineer. I haven’t touched TF2 in a year again but just that one game made me really happy and want to play again.'

'I’m a player with +2k hours on my back, so I try to give F2Ps or newbies little gifts, if possible. I once gave a spy who was new to the game but really good a complete Spy set with Hat and Misc. Skip ahead a year or two, a random person adds me. It turns out to be the guy I gave that set such a long time ago. He still remembered it, as I do today, and that’s why I love this community.'

'Months after I started TF2, I’ve made a lot of friends. I received countless of gifts from them in real life and it’s amazing how much they mean to me.'

'Me and my brother never really bonded until TF2. It was a way for us to escape into our own word full of explosions and hats. Me and him are more close then we’ve ever been and I have TF2 to thank for that. Now we play together all the time, exchanging items and just having a great time. So I say, thank you.'

'When I was new to TF2, I remember being on a team with the same Pyro every round throughout the hours we played. I told him how good he was at playing the class, and that I hoped that one day, I’d be as good as him. To this, he responded thankfully and a few moments later, I received a message that he wanted to trade. He offered a Degreaser for free, and I was immediately heart-warmed. He even gave me advice on how to be a better Pyro and everything. I’ll never forget that random act of kindness!'

'Today it was exceptionally warm outside and I decided to bike to the grocery store wearing my recently bought RED-tf2 T-Shirt for the first time in public. Arriving at the store a boy around 15 years old drove towards me on his bike, also wanting to park there. He looked at my shirt and suddenly started smiling like a Cheshire Cat, then looked up and smiled at me knowingly. I had to smile as well, and If it hadn’t been for the old lady, who then started asking him something I would have maybe started a conversation about tf2. This was a nice little real life tf2 experience and there seem to be more fans out there than I thought. :3'

'No matter which class I am playing a simple "Thanks!" command when I help a teammate makes me really happy. That is why I try to do positive voice commands like thanks, nice shot or good job whenever I can. I hope I make someone just as happy'

'I was playing as Medic the other day, and the first games I got in were terrible, with no team work, people blaming each other, etc. I was about to quit the game being upset and all… but I decided to give a last try. Some time after a great Heavy entered the server, we were doing a great job and won a couple of matches, but then teams balanced and I got team switched. The Heavy would join my team, and I would join his after every team balance. We later become good friends. He made my day :)'

This post made me happy, so I thought I’d share it with your lovely community. I remember getting the Gibus when I started and I did the same thing as this guy. I was so proud, like, “I have a hat too! I’m cool like you guys. I blend in now!”
Did you know that the Heavies voice actor did a record where he says "come here doctor, time for hugs!"? This is actually so awesome! (youtube: heavy says it is time for hugs)
No I didn't, but now I'm overcome by fuzzy feelings
'As an artist, for a long time I was uninspired to draw and create things as much as I used to do. But after rediscovering TF2, it’s fandom, fanmade SFM videos, and the comics, it’s encouraged me to improve my art and to pursue my dream of making video games for a living. I love drawing the characters, I love animating using SFM, I love playing the game, and I love being a part of the fandom, no matter how bad I am at any of those things.'

Thank you all for being so patient <3
'So late one night when I went on the shitpeoplesayintf2 sever, there were 5 people there including me and we had a fun time talking about our loadouts and why we chose them and overall had a really fun time.'

'I was just looking through the king of the hill servers because I wanted to play Nucleus when I saw one with only 5 people on it so I joined to make it even. But then when I got on everyone was just having a party so I joined them and we all had fun with our noise blowers for about an hour and honestly it is some of the most fun I’ve ever had playing this game, it’s so full of surprises and wonderful people!'

'Engineer’s with the level three chin, egghead’s overalls, and Rancho Relaxo are the backbone of all teams. Even if they just stare at a wall and drink their beer, you can’t help but love them! Here’s to you, you lazy Texans!'
