I completely agree with you. I’m excited for where they can go with a time jump, and I trust that Ryan Murphy will deliver a brilliant and moving end to the story.
I wouldn't have been so positive about that before the NYC arc started, but I've been pleased with the last two episodes and the preview for tonight's is so creative. From a writing point of view, the show is just so much better. The scenes are more engaging because they are twice as long. ;-) I don't get Lima whiplash anymore and we can SEE the characters work on their issues and problems.
I'm excited because Ryan & Brad are excited about the current episodes, so that form will continue. A smaller core cast with our favorites gives me more of what I love about NYC.
@manningstar said: I wasn’t happy at first, but I’m glad you’re sending positivity about this out there because it’s really helping me change my attitude about it.
Happy I could help! LOL I really don't see anything "bad" about it (granted I'm not a Klainer so I'm not fearing another mid-arc, temporary break-up. If it happens, it happens.)
I am looking at other things: if Kurt is gone for a few episodes (which hasn't even been confirmed yet) there's got to be a Colfer reason, right? ;-) I don't think Chris will be gone for long, if at all. He's a big draw for the show. I think Peter Pan Live is a possibility, with network loyalty not being an issue (Colfer's doing TV Land's Hot in Cleveland this week - yay! - so doing a one-off for NBC is not out of the picture). And Ryan has asked him to write again! and possibly direct?!? This is awesome news!
I've also seen some really interesting & plausible speculation on what S6 could contain, and it is fascinating to think of the possibilities. The time jump excites me because they will be post-college ADULTS! So many more story possibilities. Look at what we've gotten post-high school. :-D Sex, STDs, acknowledgment of a strapping Kurt!
I think this could be a big year/season for Chris, both on screen (Glee & other things) and behind the scenes (writer & director?) All of these would be a tremendous boon to his career! :-)

I really liked the episode too. I was quite happy to ignore most of the little retcons, etc. I found Quinn and Brittany’s stories satisfying, too. And yes, Season 5 has been awesome. Especially all these episodes in a row!
you absolutely need to know that I love you <3
