This 6 year past its expiration date (purchased in June 2011) Mano Cornuto was simply delicious mixed fruity acidity balanced out by coffee and chocolate brownie bitters... This was supposed to be a full fledged Imperial Stout - a blend of two IS’s, 85% Mano Negra from Brouwerij Alvinne and 15% Caulfield from Germany’s gypsy brewer Freigeist Bierkultur, but from what I read it tasted like infected swirl when it first came out - Alvinne’s Wild yeasts on the loose? Anyway, the result after all these years, in light of Alvinne’s wild tendencies, works wonderfully. Both refreshingly apple/berry/dark fruity and coffee/chocolate bitter.
