Man on Train A I saw him before getting on the train, we were both walking along to the uptown 4/5/6 entryway at Union Square #unionsquare. A train was pulling up and I dashed down the stairs, got to the middle of the car closest to the stairs. It was not as crowded as I thought it would be, not at all, and I jumped on board. A 300 pound man stood between the bench on my left and the center pole in front of me, with two men hanging on there, and another guy behind me to the right, at the door (and, another man behind me to the left, both of them taking door positions, which is probably the most comfortable place for me to stand if I gotta stand on the subway). At least there was space for me to jump on and stand in the middle of all this. I straddled the space between the two men at the door....
