A Ripley's representative has told the press that the gown will be displayed in their LA location and will be accompanied by several other pieces related to the birthday gala for a comprehensive exhibit. One day, he brought a movie camera on a whim. And that day, Marilyn emerged from the hotel while he was waiting. She smiled. And then beckoned for him to follow. Peter shot five and a half minutes of glorious candid color footage that day, capturing a natural Marilyn against the backdrop of bustling New York City as she traveled on her errands. Marilyn strolls down Fifth Avenue with Milton Greene and George Nardiello, visited the Elizabeth Arden salon and I. Miller and Sons. Every once in a while she looks directly into the camera's lens with that earth-shatteringly radiant smile or blows a kiss.
