Villa Aurora (Palacete Mourisco)
Um dos imóveis mais icônicos de São Paulo, começou a ser construído em 1923 e foi concluído em 1926 para servir de residência a Gabriel Peres Bru e sua família.
Trata-se de um dos últimos remanescentes dos inúmeros casarões e mansões que resistem na Vila Mariana.

The Hotel Pontchartrain in Detroit, first photographed in 1907 and again in 1914 after five extra floors floors were added as a giant mansard roof.
There are some interesting mansards in Loulé, but none is prettier than this one. The balcony, the chimney and the balustrade are also impressive.

I know the more likely candidates would‘ve been an English thatched or East Asian Hard hill roof. But I’ve always had a soft spot for the mansard roofs in France. Such a lovely sight over the city of Paris.
