This lovely 1870 Second Empire Victorian was once a parsonage in Provincetown, MA. The Hazel House was reimagined in the 1990s by visionary artist and Shop Therapy founder Ron Hazel, whose transformation turned the property into a one-of-a-kind sculpture and crystal garden. 4bds, 2.5ba, 3,312sqft, $4.8m.

The home has a central entrance hall filled with Hazel's colorful art collection.

The living room features ceiling beams, a skylight, shelving for art displays and a very interesting stone fireplace interspersed with various artifacts.

Check out the fireplace- geodes, tools, a skull, and all sorts of interesting stones are set into it.

Behind the fireplace, there's a little wet bar.

This is a more formal sitting room.

The bath is roomy and was artistically remodeled with tile and glass block. The placement of the toilet is interesting.

There's a 3rd level.

The primary bedroom is up here- look at the Mansard roof's windows. This room has beautiful wood built-ins.

It also has access to the rooftop deck.

Love the vine-covered pergola over the private stone patio.

The beautiful gardens make this the most photographed home in Massachusetts. The large scale works are by Pierre Riche, Michael Kacergis, and Richard Pepitone.

The iron gates in the stone arches are handcrafted.

Very nice brick 1865 house, w/a mansard roof, in Kingston, NY. 3bds, 2.5ba, 2,076sqft, $735k.

Enter a living room to the right and original stairs to the left.

Not sure if there was once a hall, and the wall was removed, or not. My guess is that there was a wall. Note the small wall left standing.

The living room features artsy wallpaper and, I assume that the brick columns are remnants of a fireplace.

Their library has beautiful shelving and they've got it set up like a bookstore with the books facing out.

Opposite the living room, there's a roomy eat-in kitchen that also has sliders to the patio.

I have never seen stools like that, with such huge bases. They remind me of something, but I don't know what.

There's a brick wall behind the stove, but no exhaust hood.

The sink and dishwasher are separate.

And, in the corner, the fridge is set into a storage cabinet.

There are sliders to a lovely patio and yard with a view of the Hudson River.

Sunny landing on the 2nd level.

Lovely sink, interesting tile, and coordinating wallpaper in the bath. There's also a matching window.

The primary bedroom is a large space with plenty of room for a desk and seating. It also has a nice built-in closet.

Interesting ensuite. I've never seen a tub with accordion doors.

Large bd. #2 is used as a music room.

In the 3rd room they built a bar into what was once the closet.

Looks like a lovely neighborhood on the Hudson. 0.23 acre lot.

Beautiful 1850 Victorian on the banks of the Connecticut River in East Haddam, CT. 4bds, 5ba, 4,070sqft, $1.6m. Beautiful mansard roof.

Enter a pretty hallway and turn left into the kitchen.

Isn't this a gorgeous kitchen? It's so skillfully designed, it doesn't even look like a kitchen. I like the soft green colors, too.

Lovely dining room. I like the interior window with a view of the sun porch.

You can enter the living room thru the hall or the side sun room.

The casual every day dining area in the sun room has a wonderful view of the river.

This room has the most wonderful view.

This is a 2nd kitchen. It's smaller, but it looks like it's the one they use every day.

This is a larger office. The smaller one would make a sweet little reading room.

The main stairs have original railings.

There's room for a sitting area at the end of the hall.

Nice light-filled primary bedroom with an original fireplace.

Look at the marble in the ensuite.

This bedroom's a good size.

There's a family room up here, too.

Plus, a full 3rd kitchen.

There's a little terrace up here.

Behind the house, there's a large deck off the sun room.

And, there's also a patio.

Nice little garden.

The 3 car carriage house has a beautiful deck and potential for an apt.

Beautifully restored 1877 Victorian with a mansard roof in St. Louis, MO. 5bds, 3ba, $960K. Isn't this a pretty street? This home was the only one built by the steamboat Captain Horace Bixby (mentor of Mark Twain).

This entrance hall. What a wonderful built-in. It holds walking canes. The newel post is stunning and the lamp is kerosene- how original is that? I like the checkered floor- I think it makes it pop more than wood.

The reception room is lovely. You'll see that they have some ship antiques around, which is a great idea since it was a steamboat captain's house.

What a great fireplace in the sitting room. Even though the cabinets don't look that old, I think that they may be built-ins.

Beautifully done dining room. This home is so tastefully appointed.

The kitchen redo is stunning.

They must be leaving this piece if they show the incredible detail.

This is such a lovely bedroom.

Perfect vintage bath remodel.

Note the little laundry chute on the 2nd fl. They also kept the steep stairs intact.

This bedroom has stairs up to a beautiful terrace.

This room has a large bathroom/dressing room.

Yard is small, but so beautifully done.

But, that's not all the outdoor space. The spiral stairs go to a rooftop deck.

There is also a 2 car garage around the block.

Stately 1870 home with a mansard roof and a belvedere. The 5bd, 3ba home in Watertown, Wisconsin is considered an estate and priced pretty low at $485K, reduced from $495K. The interior is surprisingly unique.

In a way, I can see why it's less than $500K. It's got a nice original fireplace and light fixture, but the sitting room needs some sprucing up.

Instead of elegance, this one is a playroom.

Absolutely hate the kitchen remodel.

This, however, is very unusual. It looks like some sort of sun room, yet reminds me of a promenade in an old mall. It's 2 floors and is at the back of the house.

Here's another sitting room with very nice wallpaper and an original fireplace, but it's hard to picture b/c of the lack of decor.

I don't think that these two rooms are meant to be a bedroom, especially since there's a fridge in the next room. I think that at least one could be a dining room.

This would be the real primary bedroom. It's very large and has a fireplace.

The primary bath is outrageous. Are those original pushbutton switches on the wall?

The 2nd bedroom is pretty big and it's kind of funky b/c it looks like a child's room, but it has one of those fireplaces with a display cabinet.

The secondary bedrooms are nothing special and this one is very small.

The 2nd of 3 baths is a much smaller space.

Now we're down in the basement where there's a TV room a bedroom.

Someone has a workshop down here and there's a handy sink.

It looks like they started construction on this part of the home and it has lovely exposed brick and wood.

Not sure what plans they have for this small space, but they've stripped it back to the wood lath.

The partially covered deck above the garage is great.

Look at all the windows in the back of the house- that's the promenade.

The garage top deck is spacious.

Check it out- stairs to go inside the belvedere. I'm sure that it must be accessible from inside the house, so I would definitely have to make a roof top deck. WHY didn't they show the inside????

The lot measures .26 acre.
