i'm really sorry to hear about birb. putting a pet down is hard, especially due to his age, but now he won't be in pain any more and you two did what you could to make him feel better. i'm sure he knows you guys loved him as much as he loved you and you'll still have good memories of him.

it really sucks cause we’d hoped the meds he was on would help him hang in longer but unfortunately he didn’t respond to them...

 I’m very sad we didn’t get more time with him but so very grateful for having him at all.
