Winter was exceedingly relieved that Penny had decided to stay with her. Penny had no reason to leave, she wasn’t on the Wanted poster, after all. And yet, Winter had been terrified that she would anyway. at Penny’s question, Winter shrugged as much as she could without hurting herself. “I don’t know. “I’m glad you were there, Penny, and that I helped you somehow.” He hadn’t always been great to her. So much pressure on the girl to take on responsibilities no girl should, whether she was made of flesh or metal, depriving her of the opportunity to make many friends in the process. He truly cared for her, though, and he wanted to do better.
