They do have other love interests (as werll as Hallie, both have crushes on some former dormies), so it's not entirely suprising they'd take a while to hook up. Emily is the only one with a job, so maybe Ellis is also feeling like a bit of a free-loader right now.

I was starting to consider having Emily get together with Manuel Sanchez or one of the other dormies and leaving Ellis single (or maybe hooking him up with Hallie or the cheerleader).

Buuuuuuut after one too many heart-farts as Emily follows Ellis outside during a party, I decided to give them a little push.

Scarlett: Yeah, not to brag but I won Player of the Year three times back in high school... I was going to sign up to the university team but the football team got disbanded after that fraternity drama.

Maria: If you’re missing sports, the swim team would love to have you! If you think you can handle it, that is.

Scarlett had just invited her friend/potential love interest Manuel over (after a very rare “invite someone over” want I pounced on), when she caught sight of a striking woman jogging past and struck up conversation.

Scarlett: Hi! Sorry if this is a weird question, but have we met?

Maria: Um, yes? We lived in the same dorm.

Scarlett: Wow! I guess I never noticed how... athletic you are! Do you jog past here every day?

Maria: I do a lap around campus on the days we don’t have swim practice. I’m the swim captain!

Scarlett: Damn, you’ll have to give me some workout tips. Do you want to come in for dinner? My sister fancies herself a future chef, her food’s not bad.

Manuel: Aren’t you going to invite me in, too?

Scarlett: What? Oh, hi Manuel. I forgot I invited you over. Sure, you come in too.

Scarlett doesn’t mind hanging out without Nora there. She’s super into her and all, but gets the vibe they might want different things. Can’t hurt to check out other options!

She actually has three bolts with this guy, Manuel Sanchez, though she doesn’t act on them. I’m not sure if that’s becasue she’s already in love, or she’s just not a super amourous sim. It’s been a while since I played without ACR installed, and I think I do prefer it? It’s nice not having every single sim constantly trying to bang, haha
