18. Most traumatic experience
I don’t think that anything super traumatic has ever happened to me? Like I’ve had a few hospitalization-worthy injuries that weren’t fun (chainsaw wounds, for example) but I wouldn’t call any of it traumatic. I guess there’s one thing that’s kind of stuck with me, and it’s a big part of the reason that I can be so quiet and shy- the way that a few of my teachers in elementary/middle school acted towards my stuttering really screwed up my confidence for a long time. like this one bitch told me that I absolutely had to take speech therapy or else the kids in my class were going to make fun of me and just a lot of mean, condescending shit like that, for about two years. I spent a good chunk of middle and high school afraid to talk at all, and I was actually fairly close to a breakdown on the morning of graduation because I had to give a speech in front of so many people. I rocked that speech, stuttering included, just for the record, but I’m still trying to unlearn that internalized hatred for my own voice tbh
