I'm sure that this has been observed and commented on by people far quicker and more observant than I, but I see Manuosos's willingness to set his (apparently, as per the Others) precious vehicle on fire rather than allowing the Others to have it after he leaves it behind... It suggests that he would rather burn the world to the ground than let the Others have it, even if he himself cannot benefit from that action. Even if he is about to die, or is dying.
His anger is so compelling. And divisive, I'm sure, in the coming episodes.
