Natasha Romanoff was famous for a few things. The name was spoken like a whisper in ice rinks around the world: some as a warning, others as a myth. She came into the scene young, competing for Russia and rose in ranks quickly. She was brought to America and competed with the top coaches and teams.

As she got older, she ended up leaving the competition scene abruptly. Not a day went by that she didn't miss it. But there was something more important now.

The redhead stood on the ice and looked around at her young students, watching as they learned to steady themselves on their skates. She remembered when her own son had first started and she stole a glance over to the other rink in the building, knowing the hockey team would be getting ready to practice for their game coming up that weekend.

Lukas screams in his sleep. He is thrashing around, knocking that purple teddy bear that Clint got him off the bed. He sometimes argues he is too old for it at 7 but he will not let Clint take the bear away. His scream is one of fear from his nightmares, knocking a water bottle off the night stand as well as his alarm clock.

Clint comes running into the room.

"Lukas, wake up, kiddo!"

@manymusesbym sent: Buck chews on his lip. He knows his adopted Mama is not going to be happy with him. He is holding out his phone. "Hey Ma? I got a question." He admits. "Captain Nash sent me to Therapy- after that call."

Athena's head tilted as she looked over at Buck. "Yes?" She asked. "Right that's not the worst thing I've heard." She continued. "Do you not want to go? Should I talk to him?"

"You know.... I can maybe get behind burgers and milkshake for my birthday? Maybe." Bucky chuckled before picking up some of his fries. And not a lot of people around for once was nice. "You know Alpine absolutely will destroy the little crochett thing right?"

"go! i'll fight them off! get to safety!" Lukas to Alex, or Alex to Henry.

Henry looks around, swallowing hard and trying to push down the impending panic attack. "I'm not going anywhere without you," he argues, because Henry is many things, but he won't sacrifice someone else's safety for his own. He just... hadn't expected so many people to follow them, to be so vocal about their feelings. "I can call us a helicopter," He offers, trying not to feel shitty for saying something he's aware is incredibly privileged. Wouldn't have to use it if they just let us be, he thinks, and flinches as something that sounds like a stone hits at the nearby window.

He wasn't expecting anyone to meet him on his property. A place full of strays, because well, he was a stray as well. He was mostly taking care of the dogs when he noted the young teenager on the edge that had given him some rough talk prior. "What you want, kid?"
