SAGADA: Sagad sa Ganda

Sagada is located in the Cordillera Mountains. It will take 9-12 hrs travel time from Manila.

My friends & I have been planning to go to Sagada pero hindi matuloy tuloy bec hindi magsakto yung schedule ng isa’t isa & yung dalawa naming kaibigan nasa Bicol.

After 2 years of planning, natuloy rin. We went there last April 2019. We joined a 3D2N tour para di na rin kami mamroblema sa transpo & all.

Ang cute ng accomodation namin. It has 3 beds & bathroom. May heater din kaya walang problema if maliligo. The room is big for 5 people. Siguro pwede 5-8? We have a beautiful view rin outside & peaceful sya.

On day 1, we went to Sumaguing Cave but we didn’t finish it bec 1) it’s freaking cold 2) it’s crowded. Hindi ka na makahinga dahil sa dami ng tao.

2nd day, we roamed around the town of Sagada. We went to the Hanging Coffins, Marlboro Hills, St. Mary’s Church & Sagada Pottery. Dapat pupunta pa kami ng Bomod-Ok falls pero we were exhausted from the tour kaya we chose to sleep na lang.

Sagada has a lot of restaurants, serving local and foreign cuisines. We ate at the famous Lemon Pie House & of course Sagada experience is not complete without trying the delious hot chocolate from Sagada Brew.

Sadly we weren’t able to try the Yoghurt House kasi palagi syang full house. Next time maybe!

I really had fun in Sagada. I enjoyed the cold breeze, the breathtaking view, the food & of course the memorable & unforgettable experience I had with my friends. 3D2N isn’t enough. Haha this is also our first out of town trip and prolly not the last.

Sagada has a lot to offer. It’s a great place to relax & unwind. Sagad sa ganda talaga. I will definitely go back here again. I’m going to try the other restos in town, have a photo with the famous van near the Gaia Cafe & trek Mt. Kiltepan. Babalik at babalik ako sayo kahit anong haba pa ng byahe.

#SOARsogon: Lola Sayong Eco Surf Camp

After 2 years, I’m back to this beautiful place 🌊

Lola Sayong Eco Surf Camp is located at Gubat, Sorsogon, Bicol.

Reminder: Lola Sayong is an Eco-friendly place so avoid bringing plastics tic & styro utensils. They will not allow it inside the camp.

How to get there:

From MNL

By plane:

From Legazpi Airport, head straight to Legazpi City Terminal. You can either ride a bus or a van going to Sorsogon City (travel time is 2hrs) fare is PhP120.00; ask your driver to drop you at the jeepney terminal going to Gubat, Sorsogon. Travel time may take up to 30 mins. From the town proper, ride a tricycle going to Lola Sayong Eco Surf Camp. Fare is around PhP30-50.00

By bus:

There are buses that have direct trips going to Gubat. It will take you more or less 15hrs of travel time. From Gubat, ride a tricycle going to Lola Sayong.

Entrance fee is PhP75.00 and you can enjoy the amenities inside the camp.

There’s a resto inside and they serve great dishes for reasonable prices!

*you’ll pay PhP90.00 as corkage fee if you bring food or drinks

I ordered a seafood platter worth PhP165.00 while my friend ordered Coco Chicken Sheet with the same price. They taste good & oh I love the atchara hehehe

We also ordered fresh mango shake worth PhP60.00

PS: Eating or drinking on the beach shore is strictly prohibited. There’s a common area near the resto where you can enjoy your food & drinks.

PPS: They don’t accept cash. You must buy this card at the registration booth if you want to purchase something. (Choices: worth PhP1000.00, PhP500.00 or PhP100.00) Don’t worry, you can refund the money if you didn’t consume all of it.

There are kubos with aircon/without aircon & tents. You can also bring a tent if you have one.

Look at these hammocks! If you’re tired swimming or surfing & just want to relax, feel free to use one.

We didn’t surf since there are no waves during our stay. Hehehe

Lola Sayong is a great place if you want a quick escape from polluted, hectic, and crowded surroundings. It’s kinda far but the travel’s really worth it.

Zamboanga: Work & Travel

Visited Zamboanga last 20-23 May 2019. Ano ba ikkuwento ko hahah we went here bec of work pero syempre, gala na rin lol

Syempre, di mawawala sea food ahh my fave! We had our lunch at Alavar. Siz, if you’re really hungry wag ka dito kumain. We waited for an hour bago maserve yung food. Sobrang namghihina na ako sa gutom hahaha pumunta ka dito nang may laman pa ang tyan kasi for sure, gugutumin ka.

Our Lady of the Pillar Church. Sabi ng mga nakausap ko na taga Zambo, this church is a miraculous one. Kapag bumabaha daw, dito pumupunta mga tao, Kristiano man o Muslims. Binabaha na daw kasi lahat, itong lugar na lang na ‘to ang hindi.

The famous island in Zamboanga, Sta. Cruz Island (Pink Beach)! Malulungkot talaga ko kapag di namin napuntahan ‘to. Waitlisted kasi kami doon sa tourism office. Bale kailangan ng reservation bago ka makapunta doon. Eh yung flight namin 5pm that day. 7am pa lang andon na kami sa boulevard tapos ayun, mukhang malabo. Hahaha BUT dahil na rin sa connections ng boss namin, tada!!! Yung usual na byahe gamit bangka is 20mins pero nakarating kami don more or less 10mins hahaha

Yung speed boat ng Navy ginamit namin hehe thank you po!

Grabe after 4 days of work, time to relax & unwind. Na-miss ko yung Subic, Matnog. Pink sand din kasi ‘tong Sta. Cruz Island. What I love about this place is, hindi sya crowded, malinis & approable & strict ang mga namamahala.

Hindi kumpleto ang Zamboanga experience without trying their famous Knicker Bocker! Ginagawa lang namin to dati ng mga pinsan ko before pero ito, legit na hahaha ang sarap 🤤

A Beautiful Disaster: Trekking Mt. Pinatubo

The Pinatubo eruption on 15 June 1991 was the second largest volcanic eruption of the 20th century.

Pinatubo is a complex of lava domes located 100 km NW of Manila city, Luzon Island, Philippines.

Prior to the eruption, Pinatubo was a little known volcano and it had been dormant for 400 years. There were no known historic eruptions. Before the eruption in 1991 Pinatubo was 1745 m high (ca. 250 m more than now), and was only 200 m higher than the nearby peaks, which are remnants of older volcanic edifices of Mt Pinatubo and hid it from views from distance. It was a combination of 4x4 ride and almost 2 hrs trekking (depending on your pace) up to the crater of Mt. Pinatubo.

It would take more or less an hour reaching the sky way before the start of the trek.

During the trek, you’ll encounter some Aeta kids welcoming you; saying good morning & throwing smiles at you. If you have spare snacks, don’t hesistate to give some!

It was a fine sunny day so don’t forget to bring enough water. Though there were vendors selling refreshments around the area, twas so expensive! Imagine the 500ML bottled water that costs PhP100.00?? Sobrang mahal! So I really suggest that you bring your own water/ energy drink.

Upon reaching the crater, you’ll see the breathtaking view of the place. There were cottages where you can relax & eat your food. You can also pitch a tent near the crater.

Before, some tourists were able to swim at the crater of the mountain but was prohibited later on because of the sulfur.

This is a very good place if you’re a first time hiker. But if you’re looking for more adventures & if you’re strong enough to do a major hike, there’s another route via Delta 5 — Sapang Uwak.

Another check off my bucketlist! Mt. Pinatubo is really indeed a beautiful disaster 💖

ELYU: La Union Weekend Getaway 🌊☀️

Went to LU to spend the long weekend with one of my college bffs. I didn’t ~really~ enjoyed my trip here bec of some reasons but I’ll definitely go back to LU!

Our office went to Samba to conduct our team building. Much as I want to enjoy my stay here, i just can’t bec i was the ~punong abala.

THE DESSERT MUSEUM EXPERIENCE 🍭

Last 17 February ‘19, Sheila, Chynn, Ate Yen & I, went to The Dessert Museum located in Coral Way, Pasay City. The original ticket price is PhP699.00 if you booked online and PhP799.00 if walk-in. But i bought our tickets for only PhP399.00/each. Thanks to it’s Anniversary sale!

Our schedule was 1pm but we got there 15 minutes early.

The first room from the entrance was the DONUT area. I had a hard time posing (lol) because there are a lot of people taking photos also. Luckily, my ate & I managed to get this shot haha arte! we were also given a chocolate by the staff. The food is free BTW!

IT’S RAINING MALLOWS! They gave us free marshmallow with a dip of your choice. I picked the chocolate dip & it’s so delicious!!

Going to the third room, you’ll notice that there are 2 doors. The blue one that says “Nice” and the pink one that says “Naughty”.

So far, this one’s my favorite dessert room. Hehehe

The fourth one’s the ice cream room. The free ice cream tastes so good! You can also play in the ball pit area and/or rest for a while.

Just sitting here, enjoying my cotton candy at the cotton candy forest. Felt like a kid again 🤣

Last stop! Heheh anyway, we still have remaining minutes before our tour ends so we went back to the previous rooms.

We really had so much fun celebrating our post galentines date! Thank you Dessert Museum 🍬
