Void shenanigans in TD.
Continuing on in my posting of various screens that have piled up over the months. This time it’s me and the gf on her main Inventor Xam map breaking in Dry Top! Layers of disjointed rocks giving way to free-floating textures in space and a T-posing man that looks like he’s made of teal Play-Doh.
When a friend fell out of the Mistlock Sanctuary map into the void, I used a Teleport to Friend to go check it out!
Interestingly, the force that pushes you up when you glide around in that map doesn’t seem to exist in the air below the map. Instead, that force seems to be in the void water, and pushes you up to the surface if you go underwater. This also allows you to run/jump across the surface, leaving a splashy trail :)
The Domain of Istan - outside and underneath!
A few weeks ago, my friend showed me how to get out of bounds in the Domain of Istan, and we did a little exploring around the west side of the map :) There are a few interesting things out there; unfinished chunks of bone wall, random hills, a patch of desert, and loooots of water. There’s also a big hole in the ground near the Astralarium where you can drop down into the area with the super high bookcases.
But the part I like the most is the mystery tunnel which runs from the Ancient Royal Docks POI all the way to the west side of the map, ending in a room with rings and snake statues. It feels like it was meant to be part of the story, there’s too much detail in there for it to be just some random terrain feature.
And if you’ve ever noticed a Rich Mithril Vein south of the Great Hall that you can’t seem to get to, it’s down in the tunnel for some reason. I’ve parked my chrono down there for now, (the node doesn’t always appear) so if anyone on NA wants to look around the tunnel, give me a poke if i’m in-game and i’ll port you in ;)

I seem to have fallen in a strange part of Divinity’s Reach...
