The Commander's cry for help
Starting a collection of Commander cries for help
At least they're honest
random players are passing me by while i'm like that guy in the corner of a party, they don't know that i'm looking back on 10+ years of my life

someone in wvw team chat once referred to swords/large group fight as "big fire", and it stuck with me ever since. every now and then i see a zerg poking at a gate and start shouting BIG FIRE HELP. this's my brand of silly. BIG FIREEEEEEE
new map very pretty and the water very wet. idk it's important to me that a game has water that feels sufficiently wet
pov you're rummaging through the loot you got in the mists, and this thing falls out of some bag. just casually like that. Palawa Ignacious Joko's finger cuff. yea. whatever.
i love the cursed air around everything that surrounds Joko, he's one of the best things to happen to this game.
heads up: NEW SAB ZONE!! there's a whole new zone this year. i just went in blind and so far w3z2 feels more fun to explore than w3z1. still a rather surreal experience to even say w3 huh.
12 years of commander kam : ))) his birthday was at the start of april i think hes like 32 ICly now
this guy got in when the garri walls were down, npcs didn't touch him, but later on he either teleported back to his usual area, or some player killed him
a good wvw scout is like sand: he's everywhere, seemingly in every corner of the map at once
Basic template info I have from initial exploring, please feel free to reblog and add more tips if anyone else has any:
- whatever armor set you're on when you go into the template tab, it will ask if you want to save that one for free. Make sure you're on the armor set you want a free save on.
- if you swap characters with the template tab up, it will be up on the new character too so it'll force an immediate template save without swapping options.
- you can STILL SAVE OTHERS AFTER it's just that the first is free of transmute charges so it pays to be clever with it.
- right clicking on a template tab lets you import the look and dyes your armor currently has
- clicking to apply a template to your armor does so without asking for confirmation, BE CAREFUL with that button.
- buying new template tabs is account-wide, not character locked. Which is nice.
- don't bother hiding or unhiding pieces in the template rn, you can still do so on the armor tab and it only works there really.
- UNCHECK OUTFITS FOR THE LOVE OF GOD they're so fuckig buggy rn. Uncheck them, do not apply them in the first place unless you want to be stuck in them.
- if you ARE stuck in an outfit, uncheck it and template swap ad nauesum until it finally goes away.
- currently, applying any armor skin uses its default dyes so you'll need to dye from scratch unless transported directly from your armor look.
- dyes can only be applied in addition or an armor skin being applied, not freely without.
that initial free template set captures ALL skins including all your weapons and gathering tools and everything. If you go to add a second template, swap your equipment pieces manually first and then right click on the second wardrobe template tab to fetch your current armor. It will again fetch ALL your equipments; make sure you delete from the template any skins that you never change (gathering tools, any weapons or individual pieces that both templates share, etc) or else it will cost you transmute charges again.
achievement skins still work correctly and do not cost a transmute charge to apply to a template, and you can still apply skins from your character’s inventory like before.
If you want to hide or unhide a piece via the wardrobe template or change dyes, you will have to hit the apply button. Always double check to make sure it isn’t trying to consume transmute charges. This means that there is no current way to change dyes on armor that doesn’t belong to a template, without committing them to a template, which is a huge blind spot of this new feature.
This system seems to have completely replaced the old, which is now imposing limits to creative freedom that weren’t there before. All transmutes can now only be applied via a wardrobe template tab. If you want to, for instance, make a funny hat for your character to whip out from their inventory whenever, you’ll need an empy template tab to do that. If you’ve already used your two free tabs, then you’ll either need to buy a new one, or delete one of your templates to clear out the tab, use it to apply your one hat skin, and then spend transmute charges to remake the initial tab you had to delete. If you’re the type who crafts really huge invisible bags in order to carry around lots of fancy outfits for your character, you may want to stick to doing things the old way and only use the template tab to apply the skins to your equipment pieces, as if it were the old wardrobe tab, and then continue to manually swap equipment pieces to change outfits. Just always double check everything before you apply, as it is very easy to accidentally overwrite a skin given there’s no confirmation window before applying changes in the wardrobe.
the incomprehensible things you see during the wvw bonus event
this's the longest i've ever been with any game or franchise that's still ongoing... 10 years......
