The Forest of Namida, where the Moon Beasts live within a small village, lies north of the Weeping Eye of Kilad Iha and is the last surviving part of the ancient forest. According to the Legend of the Weeping Eye, it was originally a forest that covered the entire island of Ajito, and where now the Fire City stands, there was a gigantic tree where all dragons gathered to hail the Icewarden. But only a small part of the Forest of Namida has survived over the centuries. All the other forests growing here now are new, younger, and with considerably less magic within them.
The Moon Beasts and their forest are protected from the rest of Ajito by the mountains - but there is not much to feed them there. But it lies in the nature of their clan to cross the mountains regularly in order to make a living.
More often than not, the members of the Moon Beast clan are either found in the City of Fire or in one of the several small and hidden caves that have been carved into the mountains. These caves are admittedly the homes to quite shady dragons and are the scenery to many small or big crimes.Though officially forbidden, they are perfect for anyone with less than honorable to gather, to exchange information and to enjoy life.
