Hehehehehehe
riverdale has so many intricate layers…… first chuck tells everyone he gave veronica a sticky maple, then we find out that riverdale is founded on the maple industry, then hal tells betty about the cooper/blossom feud that all started because of maple…….. i wouldn’t be surprised if a fuck ass maple tree shot jason blossom in the head
I need roughly 150% FEWER ill-conceived hot takes in this day and about 150% MORE delicious hotcakes. Thus, the following.
Ok, yours is a little different than the others: I assume you heat up your maple syrup before you drown your pancakes in the sickly sweet liquid. You line highlighters in a neat row on your desk (like a neon, multi-colored army marching off to battle). You love flash cards. You have a picture of you and your spouse in one of those old-timey Sepia filters. (You think it’s kitschy, but you love it). Your favorite dessert is peach cobbler? You outline EVERYTHING.
This is EXTREMELY adorable, @alicat-gotyourtongue!
I do like warm maple syrup (who doesn’t?), but I won’t turn the stuff on the table at the diner.
I don’t actually use highlighters - I’m more of an “underline/scrawl in the margins in pencil” type of person, but I certainly do appreciate a well-made set of flash cards. (On a related note - I *really* need to relearn Spanish.)I don’t have a sepia-toned photo of my husband and I (although maybe we should get one?), but I do have one from my wedding day of me on a beautiful antique leather sofa, and it’s pretty great, if I do say so myself. :DPeach cobbler is definitely *a* favorite dessert - and this reminds me that I bought peaches this week and should do something with them. Look at you bringing good things into the world! Finally, I definitely do tend to outline things (lectures, grocery lists, plans for world domination), although my fics generally come into being as images and little snippets of phrases that get in my brain and refuse to leave.
Thanks for playing - this was so delightful![my fanfic as evidence pertinent to the mortifying ordeal of being known: tell me here]
Headcanon: The children’s section of the Riverdale library has 20 copies of this book, all donated by the Blossoms, each one stickier than the last.
Maple blossoms, early April.
