Hey! Anything in particular you're longing for SOLE about/what parts make you miss it especially??

So I just whined about missing the way I know where my plot is going, cuz I don’t with the first draft of LiaHT and I’ve rewritten SOLE eight hundred times

But you know what I ALSO miss

I ALSO miss the satisfaction of making something better

Because first drafts, as is inherent in how first drafts work, they SUCK. They’re not good. Or they’re not as good as you want them to be, or they have good bits but they’re not as common as you thought they’d be.

And that can be a bit of a blow when you’re used to being proud of your writing.

Which is NOT to say I am not proud of LiaHT, I am immensely proud of it.

But like. I’m not entirely confident that it’s Overall Good yet? Because how could it be?

Whereas SOLE... I’m more confident that it’s A Good Story. Needs some work still! But! I like that! I enjoy working at a story and seeing it get better in front of my eyes.

And LiaHT just isn’t at that part, my favorite part, of the process yet.

2. What is the thing they feel the most guilty about?

I think Asa actaully feels p guilty that Cenric kinda just became a dad for him and Andras. Niether of their dads were there and Cenric, as the oldest, took it upon himself ot act as a somewhat dad for his little brothers.

mmmm i think he’d either be pride or envy tbh

35. If they could change one thing about themselves, what would it be?

I think Asa would change his quietness. He’s v soft spoken, for the most part, and he doesn’t raise his voice often (unless hes yelling at his twin). I think he’d like to be a lil more bold

Cami smells like peaches because that’s the scent of her body wash.

59: What is the first thing that someone would notice about your OC?

HmmmmmMMmmMM. Either that she’s miserable or that she’s sarcastic, depending on the scene they’re reading. Most likely the former, she has a pretty negative outlook on life/situations.

Sage: Do you do a lot of research for your writing?

Uhh sorta? I will try and look things up real quickly if I need it, but if I can’t find it, I’ll make a note of it and worry about it lately.

I usually find stuff, though! I have some good sensitivity masterposts on this blog that I can search up, and Wikipedia has handy lists of angelic and demonic names for me to snatch.

Harpy: Scariest thing to your OC?

Maluka may project a fearless, confident, badass vibe but she fears emotional intimacy somethin’ awful.

Ancient Place: Do you recycle old ideas from your old/abandoned WIPs into new ones?

Sort of? I’ve had old wips become new ones by changing bits of the premise, that’s what I did with SOLE. It went from an uncongealed pseudo fantasy to a futuristic climate change scifi novel so…

Night in the Woods is another favorite game of mine! I just absolutely loved its representation of mental illness, I loved the colors, the animation, everything!!!

A game that holds a special place in your heart?

Tales of Symphonia.

So, I was deeply in the closet at the time I played this game, and it’s a very interesting kind of deconstruction of the Chosen One trope. Anyways, how I was raised was essentially, “you have to be a certain way in order to be loved, if you don’t conform to this religion, this ideal of a person, well, you’re fucked.” and then, I got far into the game, and I heard the words,

“From the moment they are born, everyone has the right to live.“

and it was like. Woah.

Also, it was the first game where I related to both the protagonist and antagonist. And where I actually felt bad for the antagonist.

Favorite video game character?

ALTAIR. MY BABY BOY DOESNT RECEIVE AS MUCH ATTENTION AS HE DESERVES.

Also, Zelos Wilder.

Hardest boss fight you’ve been in?

Honestly? Alice and Decus from ToS: Dawn of a New World.
