“You didn’t tell me it was karaoke night…” Candy looked at the poster right at the door of their favorite bar hang out. It was a great place for dates being that it was in between both their schools and easy walking distance.
“I…I didn’t know?” Mabel grinned awkwardly for a moment before brighten up. “This is good though! We haven’t had a good duet in awhile!”
“We had one this morning when you snuck into the lab,” Candy said but she still liked the idea.
“Ah, pfffth, that doesn’t count. They probably got a real karaoke machine and not just your laptop playing pop in an empty room! Though that echoing was great and we need to record next time.” Mabel mumbled the last part as she tried to think of the best way to go about that.
Candy laughed grabbing Mabel’s hand to snap her out of her thoughts. “Come on, before they fill up!”
“Yes!” Mabel ended up dragging Candy into the bar and right toward the sign ups of the night. “We have to choose the best and loudest song they got!”
