Alec had been obsessing over his dinner with Magnus’ since the very moment he agreed to it. He was worried about screwing everything up, worried about his behaviour, his lack of experience. It was his first date and he had no clue what to do. He couldn’t ask his siblings, he didn’t want to make a big deal out of it, and frankly, he was worried what they were going to say, especially Jace. While he never paid much attention to the way he dresses, he spent much more time in front of a mirror than he usually did during a whole week. He wanted... He wanted Magnus to like him. When he found himself knocking on the other’s door, he took a few deep breaths, hoping to calm down a bit. “Hi. I wasn’t sure what to bring so here you go,” he rambled, basically throwing a bottle of some wine at Magnus when he opened the door.
