Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/2 cup milk. 2 large eggs. 2 tbsp melted butter. 1/4 cup pure maple syrup. 1 tsp vanilla extract. Oil for frying. 1 cup powdered sugar for glaze. 2-3 tbsp pure maple syrup for glaze.
Instructions: In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, melted butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until well combined. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350F 175C. Drop spoonfuls of the dough into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove donuts with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and maple syrup to make the glaze. Dip each donut into the glaze, allowing excess to drip off. Place glazed donuts on a wire rack to set for a few minutes. Serve and enjoy your delicious maple donuts!
