So you know, I’ve been a fan of country music my whole life, and I am frequently annoyed about the state of it these days (it’s getting better lately though!). And when it comes to Christmas, we have a lot of wonderful options for songs.
There’s a lot of classics covered by country artists, like Garth Brooks and Kacey Musgraves among others. Faith Hill had her hit in 2000 with “Where Are You Christmas” but I’m not linking it because I don’t really like it.
So what’s my favorite? Well, there are some big contenders, like “Tennessee Christmas” (side note: this is my second favorite Christmas song, and the most well-known and original version is by Amy Grant, but I just found out that the male version I always loved was fucking ALABAMA and I’m really excited about that so that’s the link) and Dolly’s “Hard Candy Christmas”, but those aren’t at the very top.
