Belle had flour on her cheek and absolutely no intention of slowing down. Once she was in her zone, there was no stopping her. She moved between tables with her usual bright smile, checking in, topping up cups of coffee, and making sure everything was okay.

She caught sight of someone lingering near the counter and offered a warm smile, she brushed her hands against her apron as she moved back to the front of the cafe.

"Hi, sorry there. I’ll be with you properly in just a second. It’s been a bit of a busy morning," she laughed lightly, glancing back over at the oven before returning her attention to them. "What can I get you?"

The sun was out and Jonah didn't want to waste the day. It wouldn't be too much longer until winter hit so he decided to get an early start. He’d closed the store that morning and packed his stuff ready to go for a hike. Fixing his bag on his back, he looked up as he saw someone approaching. “Good morning. I was just about to go for a hike,” he said, pointing in the direction of the old trail. “You interested?”

Hendrix pushed open the heavy door of the comic store, a content smile on his face. The place was comforting to him, a mix of comics, merch, t-shirts, collectables and even some vinyl records. He found himself going toward the back corner, where the lesser-known records hid. His fingertips brushed the edge of an old Jimi Hendrix album, and he smirked at the irony of it. His name.

As he stood there, lost in thought, Hendrix became aware of someone moving beside him. Glancing up from the records, he flashed a friendly smile. "Hey," he said, his voice casual but warm. "You have good taste if you’re hanging out in this section," he joked lightly.

"Okay, okay, hear me out," she gave a pause for dramatic effect. "Pumpkin lanterns for a lakefront movie night," she grinned, sketching on a napkin. "It’s not Halloween, but it’s aesthetic, right? It’s not too early to start thinking about fall vibes?" She paused, eyes wide. "I'm just seeing a vision... or I'm wanting to wear my boots and cute jackets again."

Gray let out a tired sigh, he could feel the slight chill of the approaching winter air against his skin. He’d just finished an evening class and was locking up the museum. He felt exhausted but it had been a good evening. Many of the adults really enjoyed the later classes.

He'd thought about stopping to get some food but remembered he had some leftover pasta in the fridge and he knew he could easily put some life back into it with some fresh herbs and cheese. Cooking was a comfort to him, even when he was tired.

He headed around the corner to his car, his boots echoing on the ground in the quiet. He looked around, hearing footsteps, offering a smile at the other person. “Hey, have you just finished work too? Just out and about? Busy day?” he asked, making conversation as he unlocked his car door.

"There's a free seat here if you wish, I'm just on my own so as long as you don't mind company you're more than welcome to join." Ingrid knew how frustrating it was to need a seat and find none so she thought nothing of gesturing to the seat in front of her even if she was unsure that the person nearby would need it. "Always so busy in here isn't it?"

Sadie paused, her lips pressed together in concentration as she looked up at the last box of cinnamon cereal right back on the high shelf. If she jumped... maybe she could reach it. She did a little bounce, reaching her hand up and just managing to tap the side of the box. It fell... knocking down several boxes of chocolate cereal with it and hitting the person beside her. “I am so sorry. Small person, high shelf. I do hope you like cereal,” she tried to joke, a little smile on her lips. “Are you okay though?”

Pat folded his arms, it wasn't quite cold yet but the weather was just starting to turn. He was just glad that preschool was back in. He finally had a moment to himself. He stumbled, nearly slipping through a shop window and landing flat on his back. “Oh shit…” He groaned, his hand lifting to his knee.
