Would you guys be mad at me if I said that not only is my MapleStory fixation that's been haunting me for well over a decade at this point back but I'm also letting go of shame. I love my fuckass Barbie pink Kaiser dressed up like Angelic Buster and his fuckass. Whatever the HELL is going on with Magnus. Whatever. Go kiss while you kick the shit out of each other. This has been brewing within me for a solid year at the minimum it can no longer stay in the box.

Sorry for being a Maplestory nerd on main (<- doesn't have any other accs here) but Kaiser's writing is so bad. Girl. My favorite class, the class I main, the only class I ever made it past level 150 with, and the character development doesn't even exist like?? They literally have more personality in the Ark class storyline 😭😭 I know it's an MMORPG but there are some decent stories (hence the RPG part). Explorers got revamped and there are rumors the Cygnus Knights are next (which honestly good for them!!), but Kaiser and Angelic Buster,,, mostly Kaiser,,, Nexon please rewrite their story to make it more in-depth (and inclusive for the love of God) I can't STAND the lack of character development in their own class's storyline!!!

Velderoth deserved better too I'm not gonna leave him out of this. Like. What was that. His turnaround was so quick like I didn't even have a chance to get attached to him before he turned traitor and joined Magnus, so that event didn't even have the impact it was supposed to?? Help?? And then it's barely mentioned throughout the story so how are we supposed to feel?? Velderoth's supposed to be one of Kaiser's best friends and yet there's such little mention of him compared to Tear (Angelic Buster). The heteronormativity of it all fr (Kaiser is supposed to be a guy and is written as such, hence my earlier comment about inclusivity being desperately needed) 😔

The worst part is that, at the end of Kaiser's battle with Velderoth, there's no interaction between them. Velderoth just runs off. And like!! Okay, you can do something with that, Nexon!! Have him run off to the old Heliseum Hideout where he used to spend most of his time with Kaiser and Tear!! Have him reflect on his actions and what he's become in his search for power, and why!! And then Kaiser could run into him and they could talk about it before Kaiser tells Velderoth he can't stay in Pantheon and he has to leave!! And then Velderoth can leave knowing that Kaiser and Tear both still care about him (because I'm sure they would)!! But does any of that happen? No. None of it. There's literally nothing. The last mention of him you get is during the Temple of Time quests.

Nexon and Wizet PLEASE rewrite the Kaiser class storyline they deserve so much better!!! They deserve character development and depth in both their personality and relationships with others!!!

nova and angelic buster redesign~ lore beneath!

Angelic Buster has GOT to be one of my favorite characters, because she has so much potential. I wished there was more thought put into her and her character, so I put it there myself! It's both a redesign and a class rework, focusing on both sides of the pirate class- her true form uses fists, augmented by Eska's power, and her short lived transformations use the standard soul shooter! 

Her design is based off of Korean dragons- Redesigns of Nova NPCs are below, showing how she deviates from the standard European. 

 The largest change to her story is that Eskalade is no longer a creepy old dragon man that has a huge power imbalance with Tear, but is now a dragon goddess that's... just a kid. 13 years ago, the Novan Diety, Eskalade, reincarnated for a fresh start, sealing themself inside of a relic so they would be safe from the outside world while they relearn and remature- but not before starting a rumor that the relics were cursed. This 13 year old with the powers of a god views the Novan people as a lot like toys, dolls to play with. Tear is her personal favorite, and she always daydreamed of her being her older sister. So, when Tear became bound to the relic, she was OBVIOUSLY elated. Their relationship is actually friendly and mutually beneficial in this retelling.
