There ain’t nothing like a puffin! Maple Syrup Moon day 14 We were at the Farne Islands, in Northumberand , to celebrate our final day of holiday. We got on a birdwatching boat tour to see birds and seals. We saw guillemots, shags, razorbills and puffins . I loved seeing how small the puffins wings were comparing to the other birds proportions and yet how powerful their wings power seemed to be, serving their small and yet round body with a range of hovering and dancing moves over the water . The Golden Eagle we never managed to see . “Maple-Syrup-moon” day 5 We are travelling around the Isle of Lewis and Harris , Joe and I are stopping by every possible corner to explore nature in our own way. He throws himself in the water ( it is really not warm!) and I do my sketches. We look for exciting birds to watch. We hanged out at the North Harris Eagle Observatory for at least three hours yesterday and we did not spot any!
