We're all set, bags are packed, for our #pacsclaroundtheworld voyage! First stop on our list is Iceland - we hear the marine life is a real sight to see! This map of Iceland is from the 1595 edition of Abraham Ortelius's Theatrum obris terrarum. Each of the creatures pictured are identified in a corresponding key. Here we have a Hroshualur (seahorse) which often gives fright to fishermen, and a Burchvalur, whose head is larger than its entire body, and full of very sharp teeth.
