OOOH okay- i wanted kinda of a headsup, but since i think you don't mind, what's mar's relationship with the rest of octavinelle?? I can see him getting along with all of them pretty well (specially floyd since they kinda have the same vibe but one is clearly more chaotic-) but what about azul? does he get annoyed or smth bc mar is way too chill? :D
YAYAYYAYA! I was thinking about this when I was brushing my teeth.
Part of Octavinelle’s dynamic is that they’ve known each other since they were kids. I had Mar also originate from the coral sea, but since he’s older by just a bit i would think they would only see Mar around every now and then. Always in some situation getting himself hurt or something. A stupid upperclassman, maybe.
When they all go to NRC, Mar natrually recognizes Azul and the Tweels. Mar probably thought they were all cool with each-other, coming from the same place and all. I can imagine at least once Azul got in a serious and heated argument with Mar. Mar doesn’t care for confrontation and would probably apologize first, but he’d definitely be thrown off. I think he’d feel like he was apologizing for being himself, which he’d hate a lot. Going with the flow, letting things play out and not taking things too seriously are the only rules he lives by.
And when that’s all resolved, Mar would make it clear that he wants to be friends with them all! Mar isn’t lazy, he’s just relaxed and mellow. If something needs to be done he’ll get it done, and he’ll help whenever he can. Maybe this can be the argument — a misunderstanding like this. ( in any case, I think Azul would still get annoyed by Mar, but in the end they can have a back and forth and laugh about it! )
Im happy you think Floyd and Mar would get along most, I thought so too! I love the tweels soooo much I don’t play around. I think they would have fun in their other forms a lot, Mar likes when people ride on his back.
I think Jade and Mar’s first real interaction would be funny! Mar’s too open about everything and anything, he would answer anything he was asked with something that seemed like childish naivety…when in reality he was just happy to talk to his dorm’s new vice-housewarden. Jade would never think to use his signature spell because….well he doesn’t have to.
In any case, I think he would get along well with all 3 of them! He’d love them to bits. His Octabro and Eeldudes.
