cold and wet here oh well. trying to find some music for u guys by Sullivan Boecker. one of his pieces on the percussion ensemble concert the other night., he studied with Mara Helmuth some of u will remember her from my posts. but anyway. haven*t found anything to share YET. sullivan boecker can be found on Soundcloud if u want to explore.(couldn*t find any videos for the visuals out there alas)
Water Birds, Mara Helmuth and Rebecca Danard i must admit that i can*t hear HOW the infrared sensors effect this music.... but i find this wonderful and fun. worth reading about on the you tube site too (HINT hint)

if u took the sound of the mara helmuth piece for flute and electronics and mixed it with the tony oxley drum solo from that video ...... THAT IS WHAT I WANT MUSIC TO BECOME ... improvisation, real-time electronics and percussion focused on color and texture and emergence I*m probably too old and set in my ways to play such music (rather a foreign land from where i was born) BUT i can see it coming and i think that*s rather grand..... EMERGENCE. wot do u think?

this morning coffee with the robert simpson sympony#10.very fine. but 70 minutes long-won*t be posting that one.(u could look it up) did u know phil lesh was a huge fan and friend of mr simpson? and my friend charles “chuck” berry was too..... so i posted another piece by mara helmuth for u to enjoy-hope this one plays for valahara cheers
