About a year ago I sent this very cropped and very blurry picture of Gene’s smile to my sister with absolutely no context. She then proceeded to save it to her phone and use it as a reaction image every time I texted her.

Okay I was thinking about a Super 4 roleswap AU and here’s what I’ve got so far:
Alex is the fairy prince of the Enchanted Island. His outfit is much more colorful and pastel; his crown is made of flowers. He has a wand instead of a sword and has spent the last few years of his life stuck in a classroom learning the various fancy old-world spells in order to become a good Fairy King. He’s very skilled at them-- in fact, he gets most of his practice in while rescuing his sister from witches, who intend to secure her hand in marriage by any means necessary.
Gene is a pirate, or, at the very least, the adopted son of a pirate. He much prefers his books to the rascally ways of pirating (which makes him the favorite subject of teasing), but his reputation begins to change when he discovers the “science” behind sailing. He builds tide clocks, crude barometers, and the pirates begin to believe he was “born from the sea” because he can read the waves like an open book.
Ruby is one of the best scientists in Technopolis. She’s not big on boring lectures or the stuffy, strict ways of Computer Supreme. What she is interested in is hidden knowledge, the “greatest treasure of all.” She gets caught on multiple occasions attempting to hack the city’s systems (and doesn’t get caught on several others, to her utter glee). Ruby’s room is full of hidden places to tuck away her purloined data and plans, all pulled out from under the nose of Dr. X.
Twinkle is a cook’s assistant working in the castle of Kingsland-- or, she was, until a clumsy trip down the stairs ended in a permanent dent in the Golden Teapot. She’s been cast out of the castle for the meantime. Lucky for her, her favorite pastime was sparring with the young knights, so she can bravely (although clumsily) brandish a sword at any trouble that comes her way. She is bubbly, charming, gallant, and looks excellent in a suit of armor.
I’m really in the mood to write some quick, fluffy Super 4 fics so I think I might upload a couple over the weekend? I’m gonna try my hand at several different ships so we’ll see how that goes >.<

While I wholeheartedly agree with the idea that Silver fawns over cold things like air conditioning and icecream, consider: he’d absolutely be like a Floridian experiencing a Michigan winter for the first time. He’s never encountered an ambient temperature below 85 degrees before. Soleanna isn’t too bad of a shock since it’s semi-tropical but wait until fall hits and it gets to be 50 outside. Silver bundles up in two sweaters and a scarf and is Visibly Distressed.
