I don't know what we women would do without stories about gay men to read in our early teens. Prince Zarbon is accompanied by King Musang, an original ruler of the Durian family, and only meeting each other relieves them from the pain of daily life.
He's not the only original character we have. This is King Maracu, Zarbon's brother and very likely the creator of the plot's "bone of discord."
I think the best part about him is that ME, BEING AN AROACE, A LOVER OF MAKING AROACE CHARACTERS , DIDN'T EVEN PLAN IT AS ONE, I JUST WROTE HIS STORY AND MY FRIENDS REALIZED HOW AROACE SOUNDED, LIKE- GIRRRRRL
That his most important relationship is a brotherly one and not a romantic one? That he never develops romantic feelings for the person he gets involved with and does everything solely for strategic reasons? That his priorities are always taking care of his kingdom and Zarbon and not anything related to a couple? THAT HE SUFFERS BECAUSE OTHER PEOPLE PUT ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIPS ABOVE PLATONIC ONES??? Girl.
So yeah, I basically created an aroace by accident. Maybe because everything he did and thought seemed logical to me. And it turns out the average person doesn't see the world the same way. Lmao.
