Gogai, gogai!!! New chibis this way!!

Marakuji's Volume 3 collection, titled Masquerade, finally comin' at you hot off the scanners of feste and I, who once again worked together to get you the whole fleet of miserably expensive blind swaps! (The first volume, Tea Time, and the second, Birdcage, are of course also available there!)

What's different this time?? Well, the gallery systems on ohtori.nu no longer work in the backend. The time has finally come for me to retire the effort of maintaining a decades old gallery program and begin migrating the existing structure into a static website that I can hopefully keep up indefinitely. That will be a huge personal clusterfuck and miserable undertaking, but I'm currently working with some more modernly savvy Utena fans to make that happen! In the meantime, I certainly have no plans whatsoever to stop hosting new Utena artwork, and so that these new scans have a happy little landing site (more chibis on the way!) I uploaded them to the gallery system within the Something Eternal forum, which will now be the main space I add new scans.

Because chibis are something there aren't actually that many of to document, I went back and organized them by release, and added context about the merchandises they're attached to and more specific release information! Thanks again to feste for helping getting these scans collected up! I hope y'all enjoy them, and wish us all luck as we try to figure out how the fuck to make a static site out of galleries that are tens of thousands of imagesewhfuiywegfduyewgfdew

GOGAI GOGAI! The 2025 Tea Time Marakuji Chibis* have been scanned!!! These were absolute torture, since I needed to merge two scans of each chibi, one from each angle, to make up for the print being behind a chunk of plastic. Also, there are now NEW ONES! So far I've won everyone but Touga. Touga, where are yooou....

Empty Movement isn't the only place to get brand new Revolutionary Girl Utena kibbles! As the 30th anniversary approaches, the merchandise is starting to flow, and some of it even brings us new artwork!! Let's see what's on the menu! (This is one of four posts that'll cover recent new merch!)

Marakuji Chibi Merch Swap Drop!

A fleet of new swap merchandise with brand new chibis!!! The art style of them is familiar, if you were there for the Utena Cocollabo drop in 2022....and if you weren't, I was! I'm sorry it took forever for me to scan them. (I'll include the direct links under the cut!)

While there are old artwork pieces with standees and such, the real yummies are the new chibis, which come as the usual pins, charms, stickers, and of course, standees:

And because it's a swap merchandise drop, there's the ultra rare, fucking ludicrous item, a little earring stand with extra new chibis! (The image here is really bright, but it looks like these chibis are actually NOT trash for Anthy's skin tone judging by better images.)

I'll warn you, I did NOT manage to acquire this thingie. The rare here is uh, selling for fucking $300 dollars, and for that I could be getting that gorgeous bag from rosé-nik, I'm afraid even I have an art acquisition line. That said, I did spend uh, many dollars, to get a full set of the other guys, because I couldn't let the Cocollabo babies be lonely!! They're part of a HUGE site update I will uh, start promoting soon here! So don't worry, huge pictures of these babies are incoming!!
