Portfolio site update
Welp.... My try at using marathoncloud has left me in a rut. As I may have mentioned before, I deleted my previous site and removed my files from WP.com and I've also tried to reinstall WP using MC's easy install. I tried to use the domain that I have through GoDaddy but it seems that WP doesn't want to let go of it and it redirects to some strange site. After getting the suggestion from the WP forum to contact my domain provider to see if they could fix the issue, they told me that I could just host with them but were unable to get me the price that I wanted. Unless, of course, I change the domain name - which I don't want to do (unless they could get me the .com site, which I doubt they could). I've been moseying around and, although I though that I was going to switch to blue host when my domain renewal time came, it looks like I'll be switching to site ground. Not only do they have great reviews all around (that even surpass blue host), but they also have a great plan for what I need - which is simple hosting for my one portfolio site. Of course, I'm going to call them at a decent hour before I make the purchase, talk with their support, and make sure I'm making the right decision before I do it. But I think I'm making the right choice. The reviews mentioned that they don't have easy installs, but that they have very simple to understand wizards and great 365/24-7 tech support so I'll forgo the easy install for the help if I even need it. I just want to be able to use a WP.org site and make use of all of the capabilities and I don't think I'm asking for much. I'll let it be known how it fares when I make the final call!
